Advanced Fellowship in Orthognathic and TMJ Surgery
(2026–2027 Cycle)
Refine your expertise in advanced orthognathic and TMJ surgery through an immersive, hands-on fellowship in Istanbul, Türkiye. Fellows gain experience in advanced operative techniques for orthognathic and TMJ surgery - returning home ready to mentor colleagues and strengthen patient care across their institutions and regions. Applicants must have substantial prior experience at the resident or junior faculty level to be eligible.
Applications: November 7 – Program Duration: Two Annual Cohorts: March 1 - August 31,
Membership Requirement: Applicants must be current IAOMS members and commit to IAOMS membership through December 31, 2027.
Hosted at Bahçesehir University School of Dental Medicine, Istanbul, Türkiye, this six-month advanced fellowship offers intensive, hands-on experience in operative techniques for orthognathic and TMJ surgery within a high-volume clinical environment under expert mentorship.

Eligibility Criteria
Dental or Medical Degree (or both), as required in your country
Completion of OMS residency by (or up to 5 years post-residency)
Desire to pursue an academic career and help educate collegues and trainees
Ability to communicate in English
Applicants must be current IAOMS members and commit to IAOMS membership through December 31, 2027.
Submit a written report to the IAOMS Foundation within two months of returning.
Agree to share experiences via interview, photo and/or video.
