IAOMS NEXTGEN AWARD FOR OUTSTANDING YOUNG SURGEONS
The IAOMS is excited to announce a new award designed to recognize outstanding contributions from IAOMS NextGen members to the specialty in the areas of education, research, volunteerism and leadership.
ATTENTION AFFILIATED NATIONAL ASSOCIATIONS
All IAOMS Affiliated National Associations are invited to nominate up to two NextGen members for the award. One awardee will be selected for each of the six geographic regions. Awards will be presented on Saturday, June 10, 2023 at the Gala Dinner, ICOMS Vancouver.
All nominations for the award must include:
- Candidate Name
- Candidate Affiliated Institution (University or Hospital)
- Name of Candidate's Program Director
- Date of Candidate's graduation from residency
- Candidate's Birth Date
- Area of Recognition: research, education, volunteerism, leadership
- A brief summary (2 pages or less) stating why the candidate should be recognized
Nominee Criteria:
- Nominees must be Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Trainees or Specialists
- Nominees must be current and active IAOMS members with up-to-date membership throughout the selection process and through the date of the award presentation
- Nominees must fall within the NextGen age guidelines (under 40 years of age)
- Current members of the NextGen Committee are ineligible for the award
- All nominees are required to follow the above guidelines for nomination and submit accurate and true information to the individual who nominated them
